Wow-it's been a long time since I have posted in this blog.I almost didn't know my password!LOL.Anyways-the news for now is that I am 37 and 1/2 weeks pregnant.I go in tomorrow for a doctors appointment to see if I am dialated anymore than last time.I was a 1 last time and the babies head was in place low in the pelvice. She said she wouldn't doubt it if I was more dialated next time.If I am more dialated I am going to be induced on Thursday.AHHH-scary.I am praying about my low platelette count ...if it dips too low I cannot have an epidural.AHHHH.And the baby needs 2 rounds of antibiotics from the time of start os labor till birth so I praying for time for that too.Last time was such a whirl wind and so fast.I am hoping for more organization but a fast delivery this time.
So that is all ....hopefully my next post will be baby picture's!Yay!I can't wait to meet our Karis Joy.

Kindergarten Graduation and Awards night for Chase

Chase with his Genesis award

Well, the night started off with the 1st through 6th graders. The teachers give out awards to every kid in the class which I think is awesome of them because every child is good at something and deserves to be recognized and praised for their gifts and abilities. How terrible would it be to walk away from awards night empty handed.Anyways,Chase got his award for Academic acheivement in reading (the boy loves books) and most curious.(which is why he loves that show "how it's made")Then after all the classes where done the principle came up to give out the Genesis Award which is the award for Christian character and academic acheivement for their grade.Only one child gets it per grade and all the teachers have to agree on it together.Well, Chase got it for the second year in a row and I am so proud of him.Sometimes as a mom you wonder if you are doing all you can for your kids.Especially when they are hitting pre teen age and start to act a little "sassy".At least I know when he goes to school he is behaving in a way that would make me proud!I am so grateful for him.He is precious!

Than Kaydens' graduation started. They walked in in a row with their little caps and gowns on!So cute. This is terrible but i can't remember what award she got!The teacher didn't give them the real award because they would crumple it up, and my camera got jammed right when she went up so I didn't catch the first award but I know she got most participation.I missed the academic one.It will come home today though.Anyways, it was a wonderful night and the school does such a good job honoring the work the kids put in every year.I am one blesses momma.I looked at mike during the graduation and said "this would have been our last kindergarten graduation if it weren't for baby #3!"

Update

Well, today is the last week of school for Kayden and Chase.Tonight is award ceremony and Kindergarten graduation.I will be bringing a big box of tissue's for this one!I can't believe Kayden is done with Kindergarten and Chase will be 10 in one month. It's all too much for me in this pregnant weepy state! But it is all good tears of joy! They are ready for summer activities and I am just hoping I can keep up with them!I am still more tired than usual but I definately have more energy than the last trimester.I went off of my medicine for nausea yesterday and so far I have had no vomiting.I am keeping my fingers crossed.I just hate to take anything if it's not absolutely necessary.Everything is going well with the baby. She is healthy and measuring fine so far.We still haven't nailed down a name but I don't think we'll know for sure untill we write it on the birth certificate.I will update tomorrow and let everyone know what awards they got and post picture's so check back in tomorrow.

Well, today Mike and I went to lunch and then over to another ultra sound. This time they are 100% sure that we are having....A GIRL!!!!!
Hahahaha-The lady warned me that she wasn't 100% sure the last time.I kind of had a feeling it was a girl so everytime the kids would talk about "him" I would say "remember, she wasn't sure what it was." And they would say "I know".So they weren't too disappointed.Especially Kayden!!!So now I have plenty of clothes for her and pretty sure on a name, although Mike still wants to look around. He is not ready to commit to a name.
Anyways -that is the update for now.

Below is Kayden and Chase telling us what the sex of the baby is.The tech was pretty sure but not 100% sure so I will go back next week and get confirmation.

Is it a boy or girl?

Sunday, April 19, 2009

Well, I am officially 12 weeks pregnant.I made it past the dreaded 11 week mark when I lost the last pregnancy.I went to the doctor and we still had a nice strong heart beat.I got some relief from the sickness from Zofran.I had to take something because I wasn't keeping anything down at all.It is a miracle drug!I have only gotten sick once since taking it in the last week and a half.I have gotten back to my life again. The kids are so happy to have mommy back in action and I'm sure Mike is too.I am still nauseous most of the day but it is much much better.
Cute stuff is that Kayden talks to the baby all the time because she wants it to learn her voice.I don't have the heart to tell her that it doesn't have hearing just yet! It's a good habit for her to get into for later. The kids where fighting over whether it will be a boy or girl and Kayden decided that she didn't care anymore, either will be fine.We should know the sex in about 3-4 weeks.
Other than that, we have no more news. But I plan to be a better blogger during the pregnancy to keep people posted.Keep praying for my health and the babies!

Well, we had the ultra sound today. The baby was healthy and had a strong heartbeat. It was really cute at one point, the tech said "look it's waving to you guys" and I looked and the baby was waving it's little nubby hand just like it was saying "Hi family".Then the kids started laughing and the baby started jumping up and down.It was so funny. It looked like a peanut shell with a worm inside making it jump up and down.I think it liked the apple I had right before the ultra sound.(my stomache didn't like it-I found out a little later)
I am trying to be excited -I only have two weeks left untill the sickness dies down, but it seems like it is getting worse.I can't keep anything down today. It is stressful because I always feel better when I eat healthy and right now I can't be healthy.I am so tired all the time and eating is my worst enemy.Every morning i lay in bed and pray for God to give me strength to get through today. So far it's working.I can't wait to be done with this and look back and say "I made it".
Seeing the baby today helped. It made it so real.I can't believe we are going to have another child.I just cherish them so much.I can't imagine having more love to go around, but I will!I will look back on this sickness someday and laugh-I HOPE!

Bladorn baby #3

So it has been forever and a day since I last posted. Thanks to facebook I don't blog as much anymore. As most of you know, we are not doing fostercare anymore. At least for now.We where surprised with a little Bladorn baby instead.God has a plan, just wish I had seen it coming! But that is the fun of life right?I have been extremely sick for the last 6 weeks and so far no relief.I am almost 11 weeks so it will hopefully let up soon.My days have consisted of laying on the couch all day watching TV which is hard for me because I am a "go,go,go" kind of girl.I love being outside and have not felt good enough to leave the couch -must less work in the plants or go to the pool or beach.I feel like I am missing spring.
The baby is due the day before Halloween. That should make trick or treat interesting this year. The kids would rather get a new brother or sister than trick or treat anyways. It seems so soon and yet so far all at the same time.Today I have an ultra sound and we will see if all is well with the little guy or gal.I am hoping I keep it together at the appointment and don't get sick in the office. It is so embarrasing.I am hoping to be better at blogging from now on.I'll keep ya posted.

Foster care

Just wanted to update everyone on the foster care thing.Allot of people have asked what's going on so here it is....We had a really great recommendation from our liscensing specialist and our paperwork has been at the final board for a week now. They have one month from the time the papers arrive to approve us.We should be getting a call any moment telling us we are liscensed and then we can be called from the moment on for a placement. We are so excited and I spent the morning tying up loose ends on the nursery. It's really hard to be too prepared because we have such a large window of what we are taking. We asked for infant -2 years. We also left it open for sibling groups.(scary)I secretly think Mike wants twins. He keeps mentioning it.Everytime the phone rings I hope it is them. And when I come home I run to phone and see if we have a message(even though they have my cell number) Just keep praying for us.We are excited but it's not final yet!!!!I know God is preparing a special child for us!

Christmas '08

Christmas was so much fun this year!We have had an awesome Holiday break! We spent a crazy Christmas Eve going to our church service and then coming home and watching The Nativity Story before bed.Bith the kids know there is no Santa and to tell ya the truth I am so glad.No hiding everything till morning anymore. They don't seem to worry about it either.Which I think is great because Christ is the real star anyways. Then Christmas morning my granparents came over and we opened presents and had cinnamon rolls and coffee.YUM!Then the fam came over for lunch and it was a great day.The next day my Dad and his family came down for a week.We played board games and went to the beach and made pottery.I'll post pics of everything-I truly enjoyed the whole Holiday but I think my favorite day was fishing at Casey Key with the just the four of us and my grandpa.I just love the water and love being near it!I am looking forward to all that '09 brings!Happy New year!
