Mike and I on our way to a charity ball in Punta Gorda.It was lots of fun-we won a bid on a vacation on a members only island next to Boca Grande.I can't wait to go.All for now!

We took my niece and her sister and both my kids to the zoo yesterday.It was very tiring but worth it.We had fun.This is actually a picture that shows the pure facination kids have with pooh.But it made a cute picture.It is my favorite picture from the day.

turtle or sea monster??

This was so funny,the turtle was laying on the bottom and when Jayda got next to the glass it got up and swam over and positioned itself like this.I told her he wanted to see if he was bigger than her.

Here is a little update of summer so far.I basically had 3 major goals for the summer with the kids.#1 teach Kayden to swim on my own.That was easier than I thought.She started out the summer sinking like a little rock and today she did the unbelievable.We went to the pool as usual and at our pool you have to take a swim test which is to swim the entire length of an Olympic size pool.Then you get a green arm band and you can use the big slide and you don't have to wear a floaty.Well Chase even had a hard time because of just the stamina it takes so I knew Kayden would not be doing that this summer.Well, today when we went the lifeguard asked if she was ready to take it and she and i both kind of laughed it off and said no.Then as we where thinking about leaving I decided I would spend the last 15 minutes working on swimming with out her floaty.We had an episode where she panicked and went under and couldn't get back up.She cried and said she wanted to get out.I told her "no, you can do this.Just float on your back if you get tired".Well the life guard must have seen this going on because he came over and said "go, go, go" and encouraged her to keep going and that little booger went the entire length of the pool!So she has achieved her green band and no longer has to wear her floaty!My big girl!So goal number one is accomplished.Goal number 2 was to get Chase doing a daily bible study in the mornings that he does on his own with prayer time.He has been doing that really well for 2 weeks.(he is not allowed to watch tv or do games until it is done!)Goal #2 done.Goal number 3 is a work in progress.I am teaching them both to play piano.I wanted to get the basic skills down before school starts.I am not paying someone to teach them the easy stuff.I'll pay for lessons when it is beyond my capability!So that is all for now.Chase turns 9 this weekend and we are having a skim board party.Fun fun!Then we are off to youth camp because Mike and I are in the band that is playing.It is my first time at youth camp.Pray for me!!!All of us are going -it is in Panama beach.I have never been there either so should be good.Hope everyone is well.
